About McKenzie & Elliott

Since McKenzie and Elliott started playing together in 2014, the couple has become a fixture in the Charleston community: organizing benefit concerts such as the Hi Harmony Community Concert, collaborating with other active musicians in the studio and through events like the Charleston Music Hall "Women And" series, and performing for large crowds in the most popular venues in town. Most recently, the two were voted Charleston Magazine's 50 Most Progressive.

McKenzie is an accomplished vocalist who moved back to Charleston, SC after a six-year career in New York as a professional recording artist while running the music division of BluRoc records, managing (and performing in) a 50-city national tour with hip hop artist Murs, and heading A&R for the Black Keys/WuTang collaborative record BlakRoc.

Elliott is an accomplished musician and performer as well. In his college years, he was the frontman for a successful regional touring band, and over the past few years has moved into the role of M.D. and arranger, collaborating with McKenzie and many prominent local and regional artists. He joins McKenzie on keyboards and vocals.
